Margaret's Dresser
In 2016-2017, I had a marvelous boss, Margaret Camarena. She moved as Director of Reseach at McREL, an educational lab in Denver, Colorado, to a position in Washington, DC, which meant liquidating some of her furniture. Margaret graciously gifted me this dresser, a narrow four-drawer piece that will always be known as Margaret's Dresser. It predated MCM, probably made sometime in the 1940s, and badly needed TLC. Following the restoration process I was just starting to learn, this piece emerged. Now I can continue to treasure it for years to come. Margaret, thank you for being a mentor and friend. I think of you each time I reflect on my (your) redesigned dresser.
